AAV at Live It Up, Bringing Engineering to Life
AAV joined NTU College of Engineering’s STEM outreach event, speaking with hundreds of students about RobotX, SUAS and real-world maritime robotics.
AAV took part in Live It Up, Bringing Engineering to Life, a STEM event led by NTU College of Engineering with support from Singapore’s Ministry of Education and participation from the five polytechnics.
Across three days, the team spoke with students from primary to tertiary levels. Members explained the challenges of building an autonomous surface vessel for RobotX 2024 and a UAV for SUAS 2025, while also showing how robotics links to defence, maritime operations and future engineering careers.
For AAV, the event was a major public outreach exercise. It tested the team’s ability to explain complex work to students of different ages and helped younger visitors see engineering as something they could build toward.
