Stanford Stopover Before RobotX 2024
On the way to RobotX 2024, AAV members used a San Francisco stopover to visit Stanford and experience the broader autonomy culture in California.
On the way to Florida for RobotX 2024, AAV members had a long stopover in San Francisco and used the time to visit Stanford University.
The stopover was partly personal, as members reconnected with a friend studying there. It also gave the team a moment to experience an academic environment strongly associated with technology, startups and autonomy.
The group also experienced a Waymo ride, giving members a live example of autonomous mobility outside the maritime domain. For AAV, the stopover became part of the wider learning journey around RobotX 2024.
